Yarn Along

I love reading, I love knitting.  And today is the post for both.  And I love checking out small things to find more ideas for books and projects.  As if I need help keeping busy :)

I got tired of showing the same books so today I've got what I'm reading with the boys - Charlotte's Web.  It is one of my absolute favorites.  But I was almost a little sad when Bigger chose it - I discovered there is an annotated edition in our library and I was looking forward to reading that soon  ;-)  Now I'll just have to wait a little for that I guess.  For myself I'm still reading The Amish Way and Organized Simplicity.

I'm getting a little tired of showing the same knitting each week too, but in honor of my quest to find joy in the process I'm not going to let that rush me :)  And, not that I'm rushing, I'll be casting on a Baby Surprise Jacket to knit on our vacation.  Because I'm not rushing.  What I am is looking forward to a short break from scarf knitting.  And I'd like to keep said scarf from my mom (even though she reads here every day) until it's finished and hopefully its hiking buddy is too.

Charlotte's Web is such a classic. I remember reading it when I was young and cried! I think I still have a copy of it, but haven't read it to my girls yet. I have been reading a few Amish based novels the last couple of weeks. I've really enjoyed them. I have seen The Amish Way on Kindle, but not read it. I hope you are enjoying it. Jacinta

It's always nice to have a little holiday project to give you a break from other knitting - even if you're not rushing at all.. :)

I remember reading Charlotte's Web to Chase and how he cried. He's read it to himself a few times now and he always skips the sad part.

I can still remember reading Charlotte's Web on the bus on the way to first grade. I love that book and can't wait to read it with The Toddler!

You will be done with that scarf soon enough. I try to enjoy the process of a project but sometimes I can be impatient. I love Charlotte's Web!!
