{pretty, happy, funny, real}

~ Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~

{pretty}
We went to the Our Lady of Fatima Shrine on Tuesday night with friends.  They do a big lights display for Christmas and it's really beautiful.  It was a gray and dreary afternoon so this picture doesn't do it justice (and we didn't get many pictures of the lights because we were too busy chasing boys around - together we have 5 boys 4 and under!)

{pretty}
Extra pretty - this is the statue of my girl, St. Dymphna.

{happy}
Makes a mama happy.  And that we caught this probably split second on camera is a minor miracle.

{funny}
I love that the little shepherd's face seems to say "just take the picture already, this darn lamb is so heavy!"  And don't get me started on that angel :)

{real}
Nope, no nice picture of both boys possible.  They just weren't having it.
At least this week it isn't a picture of what cupboard they emptied at home (it was the pantry, in case you're wondering.  They took all the cans and bags of beans into their room - "to make a birthday cake for you, Mama.")

Looks like you all had a lovely outing! I've given up on taking pictures of my son and daughter together--- next to impossible!!

What a sweet picture of your little one praying! I love that. Peace.

Oh, that praying picture is wonderful.
And, St. Dymphna is someone I need to pray to more often!

Oh what a beautiful shrine! Will have to add it to my list to visit before we leave NY! Sounds like you did a great job with the boys and it looks like they all had a wonderful time :)

We had a wonderful time with your boys. One of these days we'll have to get there when it is still light outside!
