Yarn Along

Look!  Progress!  My first goal was to get the BSJ finished by today.  Then I adjusted to goal to have it half done by today.  Well, I've got 45 rows done (out of 114.)  Not to bad.  I'll take it to playgroup this morning and maybe get a couple more done there.  And finish for next week?  Then to find a good source for buttons...

I might have gotten more knitting done this week if I hadn't started a new book.  (I finished The Deathly Hallows as well.  It's amazing that as many times as I've read it there is one entire chapter towards the end that I just weep my way through.  I never would have thought when I finally caved and started reading the series, I had held out for a while because I thought it was too "trendy," how powerful it would be.)  Anyway, my latest read is Holding On to the Air by Suzanne Farrell.  It's a fascinating look into the world of ballet.  I'm really enjoying "getting to know" a number of famous dancers through her writing and the stories she tells.

And now to check in at small things and see what Ginny and everyone is up to this week.

You have made some great progress Kate. Check out Etsy for buttons, there are quite a few sellers out there with adorable buttons.
I will have to pick your book up for my daughter, she took ballet for many, many years!
Happy yarn along.

Your sweater looks great! I tried to knit one of those a few years back and just couldn't enjoy the pattern. Can't wait to see the finished project!
