Yarn Along

Today's post should beshort and sweet - the WeatherMan is back to work today so I'm alone with all three and we started our dayat 5:30 when he went out the door.  I truly hate that our front door is right next to the bedrooms.  So there isn't much to share or much time to share it.

I finished one sleeve on the sweater I'm working on.  It was only 4 rows and a bind off so I'm rather bummed not to have managed to finish the other but so it goes.  It should be an easy goal for this week, right?  I also need to work on picking up extra stitches because that came out a bit funky.

As for reading I started Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter last night.  I'm only on page three so no comments yet.  I still have my scattering of books that I'm working on too.  And playing a lot of sudoku on the nook.
Oh dear, I need to go break up a wrestling match on the couch.  What a day we're in for.  At least I can check out the other Yarn Alongers when I can catch a minute here and there.

I hope your day goes as smoothly as possible for such an early start! Hope you enjoy the book and fingers crossed you get that sleeve done. Jacinta

Kate, just embrace all these moments, they will fly by, really!

I Finally learned to pick up stitches with this tank I just finished, before I would have to start over 4 to 5 times! Keep at it. :)

Argh we have a similar issue with doors and early starts, I often make DH go out the back door/garage, even though its dark and tricky for him, just so I get more sleep.

Hope you get a bit of peace today...

I'm anticipating a rather lively day, too---although mine hasn't started yet----the grandboys arrive in minutes for their last day of "freedom" before school starts tomorrow. They are wired! Lovely knit!!!

For me its not even the front door but the creaky stairs which I tip toe down through the very edge of the stairs in the hopes that none of my little ones will hear. Unfortunately one little creak or crack from the stairs and they all pop up like Jack in the boxes and then its on!! Try to enjoy it, my oldest is getting married in 9 weeks and it seems like just yesterday that she would be the first Jack in the box up in the morning.

You have knitted so much even though your life is filled to the brim with activity!! I hope it was a peaceful break up (wrestling match).

Aww, man! Sorry about the door issue.

I think you're going to love that book as much as I did. According to another Yarn Alonger, the book is pretty historically accurate. Very intereting...

The door issue sucks, we have an issue with creaky floors.

Hope your day went okay.

Hugs mama! If one of us is up, typically all of us are up here too. Good looking sleeve... even if the second one is waiting to be knit!

I am rather blown away that you're managing to get any knitting or reading done at all these days! Although if I'm remembering it right, knitting with a sleeping baby is much easier when the baby is tiny & doesn't move around much, isn't it? Lovely sweater - you know she will grow into it before you know it! xo
