I so love Yarn Along posts :) Books and projects are the best. Check in with Ginny at small things to share yours and check out more.
I'm still plugging away on the Irish Hiking Scarf for my Dad. I think I've knit more than 6 rows this week but not by a lot. Travel and knitting never go together well for me. Sure I can get some work done in the car but not much else. But I did finish the quilt I was working on - you can check it out here if you'd like to see it :)
My reading is behind what I'd hoped too but I suppose I'm always an optimist against my better intentions :) I finished Accepted on the car ride south (I wanted to finish it and leave it with my Mom but that didn't happen.) I really enjoyed it. It's about three high schoolers, their parents, and an admissions counselor and the insane world of getting into college. But it's also about accepting who you are and figuring out where you belong. Definitely an interesting read. Now I'm on to Dracula by Bram Stocker. In honor of the season. I've never read it, like so many classics.
How about you? What are you reading or working on?

I have never read Dracula either, but I have read Frankenstein. The book you just finished sounds really interesting, thanks for the recommendation.
Yay! You finished your quilt! Going to check it out!
Dracula. Such a great book. Hope you enjoy it :-)
Love the cables on the scarf! Beautiful color too. And the quilt is amazing. What a beautiful job you did!
I love Dracula. It's a very Catholic book, and, like Frankenstein, bears little resemblance to any movie adaptation ever made. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
Your quilt is beautiful! I love the colors you chose! Keep up the good work on the scarf, you will get there!
I've never read Dracula, either. I'll be curious to read your thoughts on it.
I have the Irish Hiking Scarf on my list of 'must knits'. Yours is beautiful! Keep going on it, even a little bit at a time and it will get finished. (That's my mantra, just keep knitting, just keep knitting)
Gorgeous yarn colour. I love the cables too. I haven't read Dracula. Hope you find it a good read. Jacinta
Love the cables on your scarf :) That is something I really want to try this winter! Your finished quilt is beautiful to :)
I've never read Dracula and fear I'd never finish it if I started. Your scarf is gorgeous -- love the color.
Thanks for visiting my blog and for your sweet comment on my Yarn Along post. :) After a quick peek around your blog, it seems we have some things in common...
