Yarn Along

What would Wednesday be without my Yarn Along?  This week it's a reminder of who distracted I've been but maybe there's more being accomplished and shared over at small things.  Maybe this week I'll have to break my simplicity rule and start a second project.

Still knitting the cable scarf.  Made some good progress on it in the car but still a ways to go.
Still reading Dracula.  Only read about a chapter and a half, plus to intro stuff.  So far I'm looking forward to reading more.
For a little something new and to keep from posting the same picture week after week, here is the book Bigger pulled out tonight to look at before bed.  Ballet by Kate Castle.  I love this book.  And I love that the boys like it too.  It is a beautiful book about the world of dance - dancers, stories, learning to dance, performance, pretty much everything :)

I would have loved that book as a child, I wanted to be a ballerina so desperately!!

I love your simplicity rule! I think I will make that one of rules to live by starting today!Love the color of your scarf- cables are so much to knit! That book looks great- it would have fueled my girls creativity when they were smaller.

I think I may need to go back and read Dracula. A book that I bought recently has a knitting pattern inspired from the book.

I love the colour and design of that scarf, just what I would wear. I like the idea of only one project at a time. I do try, honest, but when I have something big on the go I like to have something for instant gratification too.

Oh, those cables are lovely! There are so many of them, though! I can do cables, but I've never done anything with a lot of cables…the thought of it makes me kind of anxious… xo
