The bag of yarn is for what should be my next project. Hopefully I'll start it this week. I'll be making some playfood for the boys for Christmas. I have colors to make apple, pear, corn, banana, watermelon, maybe even peas. And by that I also mean I've seen patterns online that I think I could handle ;-) We got a great play kitchen on FreeCycle a while back and I want to supply it for the boys. (No, this isn't the one Littler had a
I'm still reading Dracula. The story really pulls you in. And it's really beautiful, creepy as that is to say. I'm hoping to finish it before the weekend - Van Helsing is going to be on TV and I think it will be more interesting after reading the original. I really enjoyed it when I saw it before but I'm sure I'll get more out of it now. Maybe we'll just tape it to watch at our leisure... Since I really need to make vests for a couple pint-sized cowboys who want to dress up for Halloween. :) Some days I think I really am delusional.
Head over to small things and see what else is going on in books and on needles this week. It's always a good time. (And a good distraction.)

Kate, your knitting is lovely. I too am, ahem - a sucker, for Dracula. I love it, so much suspense. I think what I love most about it is the setting, it really feels like you are back in time. Love Katie x
Looking forward to your knitted fruit! I am sure your boys will love it in their kitchen :)
Ohhh playfood! What a great idea, I will have to look into that, too!
I have never read Dracula, but your post inspired me to read it!

How fun! I can't wait to see how the fruit turns out!
I really need to get going on some play food for Kate. But as we don't have a kitchen for her yet, I guess it can wait a big longer!
Knitted fruit and veggies will be very nice! Another idea might be to full ('felt') sweaters (from the thrift store) in the washing machine and sew certain fruits and veggies too. Oh, and maybe a basket to hold it all. Sorry about your little one hurting his head. Ouchie for sure.
I can't wait to see the play food! Sounds fun! :)
The year the girls got a play kitchen we also made some of the play food out of felt. I hadn't learned to knit yet. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
Knitted veggies! So fun! :) And the BSJ is very sweet, even if it turned out small.
And thanks for the congrats on my blog! ^_^
I've been contemplating knitting fruits and veggies for my son, too. Not sure I have the patience, though! Looking forward to seeing how yours turn out!
Mmmmmm...Van Helsing. Hugh Jackman plays him....hubba, hubba!
