Yarn Along

Just like Wednesday is the day for posting about books and projects Tuesday has become the night for stuffing fruit.  I love joining Ginny to share.  And I love my evenings with NCIS and fiber produce.  This week's project was this here little slice of watermelon.  It was a really fun knit.  I think I'd even like to make another, maybe play with the pattern and make it a little bigger.  Sorry that my picture isn't great, I am planning on getting a good (read: daylight) photo of all the knit fruit together.  And hopefully I'll get a veggie or two done before Christmas too.

Reading has again been a week of a little of this and a smidge of that.  I did though look through our bookcases and write a list of 10 or 11 books that I am really looking forward to reading but for some reason have been putting off reading.  I really can't figure out my reasoning for putting them off but now that I have it written down I'm thinking I'll be able to get some of them read.  Maybe even before Christmas when I imagine more books will come into the house.

So here are the top reads for the boys this week.  My favorite has been The Ant and the Elephant by Bill Peet.  Nice story about little efforts having big impacts.  The boys' first choice is the Franklin book.  We have read it at least twice a day since we brought it home from the library.  The others are just cute.  We bring home piles of books from the library most weeks - I love our library!

I love that you are knitting all these fruit and veggies. They are so fun! Can't wait to see a pic of them all together.

Once you start reading you will be dragged into the story line. At least that is what happens to me.
