The chaos of attempting to lay out the blocks on the bed. Never quite works out. But looks really cool, if you can get past the total chaos of it. The WeatherMan has more than the usual number of night shifts coming up so I should have some evenings to myself this week to do the lay out, untangle the yarn, and at the very least finish casting on. Maybe I can catch up this week and make up for last week's slacking. In a moment of
delusion optimism I even took Toe-Up 2-at-a-Time Socks out at the library. I've only skimmed through it but it seems simple enough once you get the mechanics. Famous last words, huh?
As for reading I was little more successful there this week. I'm finishing One Thousand Gifts today. Yes, there are times when making such statements are tempting fate and bringing on all kinds of craziness but I'm confident I really am finishing today - I'm in the last chapter. I also finished Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and started The Chamber of Secrets this week. I guess I just needed a light, fun read. That and it had gotten to the end of the month and I still hadn't finished a book yet so I wanted to read something I could finish quick. What can I say - I have a tendency toward product reading at times too.
Linking up this week with Ginny's Yarn Along and sharing my very s-l-o-w stash busting at Creating a Family Home and Crunchy Catholic Momma. Some weeks if it weren't for the sharing I don't think I would accomplish anything. Nothing like accountability and a little envy of what other bloggers are out there doing!
