Yarn Along

Not much to see here again this week.  I spent the week mostly trying to get back to business as usual.  So I did lots of reading - finished The Order of the Phoenix and Danger in the Shadows (by Dee Henderson) and only have three chapters left in The Half-Blood Prince.  I'd guess I'll finish the series this coming week.

My knitting did not progress as well.  Sometimes having to keep it up on top of the bookcase to keep it safe from small hands also keeps it safe from my working on it.  Since it turns out to be a good thing I had neutral baby yarn in my stash it'll be good knowing we'll get some use out of it.  Provided the babe is small enough for the BSJ, I never can tell while I'm starting out how big it will be and I certainly can't guess how big Annonymous will be.  At least with this starting to seem like an eternal project I'm not yet starting to dream of other projects.  Maybe because two at a time toe up socks are up next on my list  ;-)

Now I'm off to check out what else is knitting at small things.  And maybe next week I really will have this BSJ done and can compare stash busting at Crunchy Catholic Momma.  Lordy, I'd like to have something done to share there :)

My knitting has not progressed much either these past couple weeks. Too many other things to do.

Good luck on getting it done. :)

Have I neglected to congratulate you? I don't remember doing it…so, congratulations! :)

I have never knit a BSJ. My babies are so big now that I hesitate to try it - I know it can be sized up but it seems like an awful lot of knitting for something I'm not sure I'll love. Much better to make it for a tiny baby, I think. The yellow yarn is just lovely! xo

How sad that you have to hide your knitting from investigative hands! I loved HP 5, 6, and 7 the very best!!!

Hmm. One of my dear friends is newly pregnant and I'm trying to decide what to make for her baby. Maybe I'll have to finally give the Baby Surprise Jacket a try!

I've never tried the BSJ but soooo many people have or are knitting it. One of these days I may jump on the BSJ bandwagon! Congratulations too! I *think* I've already said it but just in case I haven't already!
