{pretty, happy, funny, real}

~ Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~

Every Thursday at Like Mother, Like Daughter!

{pretty}
Beautiful memorial garden on our way to playgroup.

{happy}
We love our fruit.
On a side note, we need a new camera for a number of reasons.  Not least of all because it fell off a shelf and now the face is loose and it will cost $35 to get it fixed at the camera store (which is silly for a 2 year old point and shoot camera.)  I'm dreaming of a really nice camera.  However given our circumstances, especially those two wrecking balls boys who we love so much but who do not understand respecting property or gentleness with electronics, it seems wise to not invest that much into a new one.  Any suggestions for a good, affordable digital camera?  With good color?  Often the colors are funky in our pictures.  (You can see it in the picture, Littler really isn't that sickly looking but it washed out?)

{funny}
Yup, that really is where he went to bed.  Don't worry, Daddy put him in his own bed after taking the picture.  (And Daddy picked up the provincial flag for $1 at the Zellers closing sale.  Bring on Target!)

{real}
So love the library :)
And I love these moments to stop and see the pretty, the happy, the funny, and the real in my days.  Otherwise the ugly, overwhelming, cranky, and messy just gets to be too much and takes over my days.  I think the same is true of the Yarn Along and This Moment posts.  Makes me accountable for my own happiness.  (Because the dishes sure aren't doing it for me.)

I love your last paragraph the best. I find blogging an excellent way to be accountable. Just remember that your kiddos will one day be adults-I know it seems like a long way away but all those days whiz by in the end. (I used to get so stressed as a young mama!)
