So I took the bull by the horns and took the shawl off needles. It was scary. Meanwhile I completely spaced on taking my meds being so distracted by finishing something and trying not to ruin something. Luckily it was NCIS night and Hettie had to give some small pox vaccines. It was a really funny scene. I love NCIS :) Anyway. It reminded me to do my shot and I was up way to late working out a system for picking up all those beastly little stitches. Time will tell if I managed to catch all those little blighters, I'm hopeful but taking a little time before attempting to knit on.
I also accomplished my reading goal for the week and finished Treasures from the Attic. It was a very interesting read. I'm slowly reading Playful Learning, a little jealous of the space and budget to create the "learning spaces" she describes. But like so much else there's no reason to expect it right now, we've certainly got time. The next section starts the activities and I certainly don't expect to have a young author all that soon either ;-) Both boys are turning into quite the storytellers so I'm sure we'll get there in time. I've also been enjoying the eye candy of Handmade Beginnings and have a couple other pattern books on hold at the library. Because I tell it like it is - yarn insanity.
And now for more

The sweater is so precious. I have a baby shower coming up soon and I want to knit something in yellow! The yarn for the shawl is gorgeous as well. And I'm with you about ginny's being a distraction I mean inspiration :-) my ravelry queue is sooooo long because of all the wonderful yarn along posts!!
The sweater look so adorable Kate and I think duckie buttons would be perfect. Duckie booties would send it over the top! :)
Yay for finishing the sweater! That's always a good little boost to keep going with other/new projects.
Duck buttons would be perfect!
Can't help smiling at your "distraction" crossed out and replaced with "inspiration". So true. No knitting on a Wednesday, unless I'm reading it. Your BSJ looks lovely. Hope you found all those stitches.
Your BSJ looks gorgeous. I love the stripes. Good luck weaving in all the ends. I feel your pain, having to take a project off the needles. Jacinta
