I've made some progress this week. My socks are coming along nicely. I've started the gussets. I'm not sure how I feel about my increases, it's hard to tell how they really are coming out. But otherwise so far so good. My February Lady is coming along too - I've almost finished the yoke. Granted I need to get a bigger
cable (edit: and by cable I mean circular because sometimes typing while tired does things to your vocabulary) needle before I know if that's really true but I think it will work out. I'm a little anxious about the sizing because I took the given advice of choosing the size down when between sizes but I have Great Aunt Mary's linebacker shoulders and I hope that doesn't give me trouble. Oh well, if it does I guess I'll just have to make another :) For the sake of my sanity I wussied out and did yarn over button holes and knit front-back increases. I am being brave but not really trying to conquer the knitting world here folks.
As for my reading, I finished up some books in progress (BIPs?) and have been perusing patterns and ideas but haven't settled into another book. I felt a little foolish to discover that the Feb. Lady Sweater pattern is printed in the back of my edition of Elizabeth Zimmerman's Knitter's Almanac. After making a big deal of asking the WeatherMan several times to print it, I had it all along. Opps.
Now, off to link up with Ginny. Happy Yarn Along!
