Yarn Along

I've made some progress this week.  My socks are coming along nicely.  I've started the gussets.  I'm not sure how I feel about my increases, it's hard to tell how they really are coming out.  But otherwise so far so good.  My February Lady is coming along too - I've almost finished the yoke.  Granted I need to get a bigger cable (edit: and by cable I mean circular because sometimes typing while tired does things to your vocabulary) needle before I know if that's really true but I think it will work out.  I'm a little anxious about the sizing because I took the given advice of choosing the size down when between sizes but I have Great Aunt Mary's linebacker shoulders and I hope that doesn't give me trouble.  Oh well, if it does I guess I'll just have to make another :)  For the sake of my sanity I wussied out and did yarn over button holes and knit front-back increases.  I am being brave but not really trying to conquer the knitting world here folks.

As for my reading, I finished up some books in progress (BIPs?) and have been perusing patterns and ideas but haven't settled into another book.  I felt a little foolish to discover that the Feb. Lady Sweater pattern is printed in the back of my edition of Elizabeth Zimmerman's Knitter's Almanac.  After making a big deal of asking the WeatherMan several times to print it, I had it all along.  Opps.

Now, off to link up with Ginny.  Happy Yarn Along!

Ohhh I love the color you've chosen for your February Lady Sweater. I think that pattern has been in my Ravelry queue the longest. I really need to start looking for yarn so I can make it!

You are a funny, funny woman [Great Aunt Mary's linebacker shoulders indeed] ;)]
I have to shake my head here, I ran to pull my copy of EZ's Knitter's Almanac off the shelf and sure enough, there is the pattern. How did I not see this? Oh well, thank you for letting me know!

I love the color for your sweater! I have yarn upstairs in a box for a February Lady - I think I will start it in the fall, when it's not so darn hot anymore… I am also anxious about sizing & I haven't even started knitting yet… xo

I'm sure everything will be fine. I changed the increasing technique of the featherweight cardi because they yarn is so slippery!! (you had me chuckle about Aunt Mary)

your baby belly is so sweet! Your little one will be here before you know it. I love the color choice for your Feb. Lady. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

I found that my FLS grew when I blocked it. I wish I had gone down a size because my sleeves were VERY generous when I was done. But I did love this pattern.
